A few years ago, while researching Leslie Howard’s World War II propaganda campaign for Britain, I happened to stumble across another campaign, this one was by our beloved Dr. Seuss.

The information for Dr. Seuss’s campaign can be found at the University of California San Diego’s Special Collections (as well as more of these cartoons). This is the most comprehensive list of his propaganda cartoons. They range from urging people to buy bonds to demanding support for Britain. Some of the cartoons are mildly offensive but all are entertaining. He drew them from 1941 to 1943 and here are a few of my favorites:
